Taxis (make sure they use the meter. It’s known as La Maria because the virgin mother won’t lie. lol. )

The bus route closest to the community picks up on 239 across from the new restaurant, going through Puriscal headed to San Jose (North) and Parrita (South) and heads to Quepos. It goes South at 9:30 am and 4:00 pm. Then, comes back to the stop at 1:30. It is exactly 1.7 KM (1.06 miles) from our entrance.

At the bus stop on the intersection of 239 and the coastal hwy, you are able to catch a bus about every 40 minutes. Transportes Quepos Puntarenas (T.Q.P.) is the bus that will take you into the center of Jaco. That same bus (headed toward Parrita and Quepos) will drop you off directly across the street. You can then hike the 5km up and 1.7km over or call for a cab from there.

If you are headed to San Jose, it is best to take a ‘Directo’ from the station in Parrita so you are not stopping at every stop. Rideshare coming soon... :)
